Timesheet
The Timesheet module in Olqan helps employees log work hours, track task progress, and manage time efficiently. It enables accurate time tracking for payroll, project billing, and performance analysis.
Accessing the Timesheet
Go to Project Management from the main menu and click Timesheet to view or manage work logs.
The timesheet displays logged work hours with details such as:
- Task Code – Unique identifier for the assigned task.
- Task Name – Description of the work done.
- Employee – The person responsible for the task.
- Start & End Time – The logged work period.
- Total Hours – Automatically calculated work duration.
- Earnings – If applicable, shows the amount earned based on logged hours.
Logging Work Hours
Click Log Time to manually enter work details. Fill in the required fields:
- Project – Select the relevant project.
- Task – Assign the work session to a specific task.
- Employee – Choose the person logging time.
- Start Date & Time – Define when work began.
- End Date & Time – Specify when the work session ended.
- Memo – Add notes or a brief description of the task.
- Total Hours – Automatically calculated based on entered time.
The system calculates hours worked based on Start Time and End Time. If Start and End Times are the same, total hours remain 0 hrs.
Managing Logged Time Entries
Click on the three-dot menu (⋮) next to a logged entry and select Edit to modify work duration or task details. Select an entry and click Delete to remove incorrect logs.
Use the Filters option to refine results based on:
- Date Range – View specific time periods.
- Employee – Show logs for specific individuals.
- Task or Project – Focus on particular work sessions.
Weekly Timesheets
The Weekly Timesheets feature in Olqan allows employees to log and submit their work hours in a structured format for approval.

Adding a Weekly Timesheet
- Click Add Weekly Timesheet to open the entry form.
- Select the relevant task from the dropdown.
- Enter daily hours worked for each day in the given week.
- Click Add More to log multiple tasks within the same week.
Saving and Submitting Timesheets
- Click Save to store your weekly work log as a draft.
- Click Submit For Approval to send the timesheet for managerial review.
Approving Timesheets
Managers can review submitted timesheets by clicking Approve Timesheets. Once approved, work hours are finalized for payroll and performance tracking.
This feature helps streamline time tracking by allowing batch submission and approval, reducing manual effort in work-hour management.
Exporting and Reporting
Click Export to download time logs in an Excel format. This is useful for payroll processing, invoicing, and performance tracking.
Logged hours can be integrated with payroll systems for automatic salary calculations. Project-based earnings can be tracked for billing clients.
